Plans for a New Year's Eve celebration are brewing at a North East venue after the success of its inaugural event last year.
The Fire Station, in Sunderland, is to host Phil David’s Good Times Band's upbeat rhythms and tunes that span genres from soul, Motown, R&B, to rock and roll.
New Year’s Eve at The Fire Station will start with a free party set from DJ Frankie in the popular bistro - the Engine Room - starting at about 6.30pm.
Frankie will be playing a top selection of toe-tapping vinyl classics until 9.30pm, after which the fun moves to The Fire Station.
Guests will be welcomed with a cocktail, setting the stage for Newcastle's Phil David and his Good Times Band to crank up the New Year's action.
During the band's energetic performances, revellers will be able to fuel up on street food, as they gear up for the crucial countdown to 2024.
Phil said: "We're really looking forward to playing in Sunderland and party-goers can expect a wide array of genres from much-loved artists - from Stevie Wonder to Fleetwood Mac, and from James Brown to the Beatles.
"We’re excited that so many will be joining us for a not-to-be missed party – let the good times roll."
The street food menu promises a selection of crispy duck hirata bao buns, mock duck bao bun for vegan guests, and a wheat-free alternative of loaded sweet potato fries topped with duck, catering to diverse diets.
Tamsin Austin, venue director at The Fire Station, added: "Our first-ever New Year’s Eve party went so well last year that we are delighted to have Phil and his brilliant band back again for this year.
"Add the irrepressible Frankie Francis into the mix and we’re set for a very special night – a great combination of music, dancing and delicious food.

"There’s no better way to see in a New Year with some brilliant live music and we still have tickets left for what will be a fantastic party.
"We’ve had so many memorable live performances over the last year and it is important to us to finish the year – and start 2024 – on a high."
