A popular hotel and restaurant has announced it is under new ownership after a major takeover of both venues.
The Orchid Restaurant at The Studley Hotel, located on Swan Road in Harrogate, is about to embark on a new journey under new ownership.
The restaurant, housed within a listed building and known for its Far-Eastern culinary menu, is set to undergo an extensive refurbishment.
While the restaurant finds itself under new ownership, the staff at The Orchid remains unchanged, ensuring the continuation of the dining experience that the restaurant has become well known for over 23 years.
General Manager Neil Mendoza, following in his father's footsteps, has been a part of The Orchid since he was only 13 years old.
He expressed his excitement about the new chapter.
Mr Mendoza said: "This is a very exciting time for The Orchid. I am thrilled that a family has purchased it with over four decades of experience as restauranteurs, who share a passion and deep respect for Far-Eastern cuisine.
"Having been a part of The Orchid since my early teenage years, I have built lasting relationships with our valued guests.
"In the new year, we will commence our refurbishment, redesigning the interiors to celebrate the essence of Far-Eastern and Pan-Asian cuisine, complementing the standard of our exceptional dishes."
The family behind The Studley Hotel and The Orchid Restaurant, are elated with their recent acquisition.

In a statement, they said: "We feel incredibly fortunate to have acquired this fabulous restaurant and hotel.
"While there are countless Chinese, Thai, and Asian restaurants, The Orchid stands out due to our brigade of chefs, led by head chef, Jim, who has been with The Orchid for 10 years.
"Each of our chefs specialises in different cuisines from diverse regions of the Far East. This is a genuine Pan-Asian culinary adventure prepared by true specialists."
