Stockton children have been spreading festive cheer by visiting businesses in the area raising awareness of food and baby banks.
The children form Little Ladybirds Day Nursery visited Preston Farm Industrial Estate to deliver letters to businesses and let them know they were hoping for donations for the two banks.
Businesses that got involved included One IT, HMH and LEC.
After their visits dozens of food products, nappies, wipes and baby clothes have been donated to the food bank in Thornaby and the baby bank in Stockton.
Claire Harrison-Jones, Manager at Little Ladybirds, said: "Our children really wanted to do their bit to help those people in our community who need a bit of extra support this Christmas.
"They are so excited for Christmas but know not everyone will be enjoying the celebrations, so they decided to visit the businesses near the nursery to let them know about the food and baby banks.
"Thanks to their efforts, and the kind donations made by many of our parents and carers, we have been able to make a sizeable contribution to the baby banks, which rely on the support of people and businesses in their communities' to be able to help those who aren't as well off this Christmas.
"This is what Christmas is all about and I am so proud of the children for everything they’ve done."

Little Ladybirds Day Nursery has established many community relationships, this year Dobbie's Garden Centre donated their Christmas tree, after one of the parents who works there nominated the nursery to receive it.
Claire added: "Our links with the community is something we really pride ourselves on, so we were delighted when Dobbie’s invited us to pick a tree of our choosing after we were nominated by one of our children’s parents.
"The tree looks so pretty in reception and has been a warm welcome for our children in the run up to Christmas."
