An 80-year-old man died in car crash in Cockfield this weekend.
The incident happened at 3.30pm (Saturday, December 16) along Burnt Houses Lane and involved a silver VW Tiguan and a blue Ford Focus.
Sadly, the driver of the VW Tiguan – an 80 year-old man – was pronounced dead at the scene.
His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
The driver of the Ford Focus was arrested in connection with the incident and later released under investigation.
Now, police are appealing for information following the fatal collision on Saturday afternoon.

Officers are now keen to speak to the driver of a vehicle which travelled along Front Street, Cockfield at around 3.25pm and was immediately ahead of the VW Tiguan. This vehicle then turned left onto Burnt Houses Lane.
A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary said: "If you think you could be this key witness, please contact Natalie.horner@durham.police.uk.
"Anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage is also asked to come forward by calling the Collision Unit on 101 quoting incident number 243 of December 16."
