Police have found a body in the search for a man who disappeared almost four months ago.
Officers from North Yorkshire Police confirmed on Monday (December 18) that they had located the body of Whitby man Christopher Roberts during a search of a 'remote location' on Sunday (December 17).
An appeal was initially sent out by police in September after he was discharged from Scarborough Hospital on August 29 this year and left the hospital in trousers and a hospital gown.
On Monday, the police force issued the update, sending condolences to Mr Roberts' family at this time.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "A sad update about a missing person investigation
