Today we name 12 men made subject of domestic violence protection orders in Darlington and County Durham.
Some of the men have appeared in court for breaching existing orders.
The cases have been heard over the last couple of weeks at Peterlee Magistrates' Court and Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court.
Kai Anthony Wilson, 23, of Shakespear Road, Darlington, appeared in court for breaching a domestic violence protection order.
On December 2 he was arrested in Darlington having breached a Domestic Violence Protection Notice issued on November 9. He admitted the breach and was jailed for 2 weeks. Magistrates found the offence so serious "because the defendant has a flagrant disregard for court orders".
Thaveesak Kaewbuakan, 42, of Frosterley Drive, Darlington, appeared in court for breaching a domestic violence order on December 10. The order was made on November 21. He admitted breaching the order by being in direct contact with the woman. He was fined £40.
Ricky Box, 36, of Chapel Street, Willington, Crook, appeared in court for breaching a domestic violence protection order on December 5, by being in contact with a named woman.
He admitted the breach and was jailed for 28 days. Magistrates noted the offence was "so serious because it was aggravated by being committed whilst subject to a community sentence because the defendant has a flagrant disregard for court orders".
Wayne Durham, 34, of Humber Place, Darlington, appeared in court for breaching a domestic violence protection order on December 7 in Darlington. He breached the order by being at a prohibited address. He admitted the breach and was fined £200.
Graham Million, 50, of no fixed abode, appeared in court charged with breaching a domestic violence protection order on December 7, by being at a prohibited address in Darlington.
He admitted the breach and was jailed for 5 weeks. Magistrates noted the reason for imprisonment was the "offence was so serious because there were many convictions of violence against the same victim". They noted further the "defendant is homeless and is unlikely to comply with the order".
Gareth Myers, 42, of Mendip Avenue, Chester le Street, was found in breach of a domestic violence protection notice and was arrested on December 8. He admitted the breach and was fined £50.
Luke Arnell, 37, of no fixed address. A domestic violence protection notice was served by a constable on November 29. A domestic violence protection order was made for 28 days for the protection of the associated person. The defendant must not molest the associated person by contacting her by any means whatsoever, including social media. It includes molestation in general, to particular acts of molestation or both. It requires him to leave an address in Peterlee and prohibits him from evicting or excluding the woman from the address.
Timothy Blake, 41, of no fixed address. A domestic violence protection notice was served by a constable on December 12. A domestic violence protection order was made for 28 days for the protection of the associated person. Blake must not molest the woman or enter any address where he may reasonably find her or come within 100 metres of her.
Warren Kennick, 38, of Church Lane, Hunnwick. A domestic violence protection notice was served by a constable on December 1. The court made a domestic violence protection order for 28 days for the protection of the associated person. He must not molest her or contact her directly or indirectly, including by telephone, message or any form of social media or enter a specified address in Crook.

Adam Cassidy, 35, of Dalton Way, Newton Aycliffe. A domestic violence protection notice was served by a constable on December 3. The court granted a domestic violence protection order for 28 days for the protection of the associated person. He must not molest her or contact them by any means whatsoever including social media. The defendant is prohibited from entering the premises or coming within 100m of the premises.
Darren Malcolm, 40, of Hatfield Place, Peterlee. A domestic violence protection notice was served by a police officer on December 11. The court granted a domestic violence protection order for 28 days for the protection of the associated woman. He was ordered not to molest her or contact her by any means, including social media. It includes molestation in general.
Nathan Newnes, 34, of Station Estate North, Seaham, was served a domestic violence protection notice on December 14. A domestic violence protection order was made for 28 days for the protection of the woman concerned. The defendant must not molest the associated person by contacting her by any means whatsoever including social media. He is also prohibited from entering a specified address in Darlington.
