Emergency services have been dealing with a serious crash on a road in County Durham this afternoon. (Saturday)
Paramedics, the Great North Air Ambulance and several police vehicles attended an incident on the outskirts of Cockfield, near Bishop Auckland, at around 3.30pm.

A spokesman for North East Ambulance said: "We received a call at 3.33pm today to attend a road traffic collision near the junction of The Fell, Front Street in Cockfield.
“We dispatched three paramedic crews, the air ambulance and a clinical team leader."
Durham Constabulary has been contacted for further information.
