Pictures have emerged of the magician Dynamo preparing to be buried alive under five tonnes of soil in a death-defying stunt at a secret location in the North East.
The Dynamo is Dead special will be aired live on Sky Max tonight (Thursday, December 14) and will feature guests that include Kate Beckinsale, Pete Davidson and Tony Hawk.
The one-off show, sees the magician, 40, whose real name is Steven Frayne, returning to TV screens for the first time since 2020.
The programme will reveal the magic star's mental health struggles, and is also set to involve a live segment where he will be buried under five tonnes of soil.
Dynamo was spotted practicing for being buried alive live on TV at an undisclosed site on Tyneside on Wednesday (November 13) night.
He was accompanied by a large crew next to a ready-dug grave and was seen descending the hole on a ladder.
Dynamo then made his way back out while the crew members rehearsed filling in the hole while Dynamo watched on.
The area was fenced off and surrounded by a strong presence of security personal, as details of the event remain under wraps.
Appearing on Thursday morning's Lorraine, Dynamo spoke of his motivation behind the death-defying stunt, and confessed to having a difficult year after the death of his grandmother, Nellie Walsh.
He said: 'The last year I felt like I've been living in a nightmare. I lost my grandma and she was the magic behind the magic."
The telly star, who is known for various stunts, from walking on water to levitating above skyscrapers, has described this stunt as his 'most dangerous ever'.
An official synopsis released by Sky read: "The world-renowned magician Dynamo is back as you’ve never seen him before - embarking on a transformative and soul-searching journey to explore the depths of mental health and well-being.
"As he grapples with his own struggles, Dynamo seeks answers from inspirational figures around the world so that he can bury his past and find a new beginning.
"Through candid conversations with iconic actors, musicians, sports stars, journalists, and activists, each with their own powerful stories to tell, Dynamo learns of the struggles behind their success as they open up about their own journeys and share the wisdom and tools to navigate the complexities of life.

"Throughout his journey Dynamo shares his unparalleled magical talents with each of his guests, performing ground-breaking new magic inspired directly by their stories.
"The heart-pounding climax of the show will be broadcast live - In order to embrace his future Dynamo must first bury his past, and his journey of recovery will end with him attempting his most dangerous stunt ever… being buried alive."
The show is filmed from 9pm.
