A County Durham road closed for emergency repairs this afternoon is expected to reopen later today (December 11).
One lane has been closed on the A19 Northbound at The A181 (Castle Eden Interchange) due to emergency pothole repairs.
The closure has resulted in queuing traffic in the area according to AA traffic maps.

According to National Highways, one of two lanes have been closed between the A181 and B1320, BUT traffic is expected to return to normal by 4pm.
An AA spokesperson said: "One lane closed and queueing traffic due to emergency pothole repairs on A19 Northbound at The A181 (Castle Eden Interchange)."
