A popular store at a North East retail park will close its doors this month after signs appeared on the storefront noting a 'closing down sale'
Signs in the window of high street brand USC's Teesside Park store have begun to appear, with the sport and fashion retailer highlighting that it will be closing for good around Christmas time.
While a more definite date isn't set, the signs state that the shop will shut in 'December 2023' - but no more details have been given by the brand about the reason for the closure.
USC, which stocks brands like Boss, Fred Perry and Tommy Hilfiger, is owned by Mike Ashley's Frasers Group.
One poster on the shop front reads: "Closing down 20% off full price".
This closure is part of a host of changes to Teesside Park recently, with several brands announcing that they would be opening in the shopping centre soon.
Retailers such as Lush and Flannels have both made planning applications concerning potential new locations at Teesside Park in Thornaby over the past year.
They are joined by popular food giant Wagamama, which submitted a planning application in August and outlined plans to display an advertisement within the premises on Unit 19A.
Businesses such as Tim Horton's, and Victoria's Secret have already made their way to the shopping centre in recent times.
Here are some of the businesses looking to come to Teesside Park:
- Sports Direct
- GAME
- Evans Cycles
- Flannels
Frasers Group, who is involved with Teesside Park, near Stockton and Middlesbrough, revealed in August that two new leases have been signed at the shopping centre - which will see big moves for four individual retailers.
