Trains are still being cancelled following damage to overhead wires - here's a full list of cancellations that have impacted travel to the North East today.
Whilst lines between Peterborough and Grantham have re-opened following damage to overhead electric wires over the weekend (December 9-10), commuters heading to the North East are still facing delays.
Amongst the people most impacted last night were hundreds of Newcastle United fans who travelled south to watch the team clash with Tottenham - only to find their trains back home were fully cancelled.
Damage to the lines has now been fixed and most trains are running normally but some have still been cancelled.
National Rail said on their website: "Lines have reopened between Peterborough and Grantham following damage to the overhead electric wires on Saturday.
"Trains running between these stations may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 45 minutes or revised.
"Disruption is expected to continue until the end of the day."
