Six motorists have been named and fined in court after being caught without third-party insurance in County Durham and Darlington.
The cases were heard at Peterlee Magistrates' Court on Wednesday , December 6.
Craig Stephen Corsie, 35 of Quarry Crescent, Bearpark, Durham. Used a Suzuki on a road / public place without third party insurance May 3 on the A690 Durham City. Verdict: proved. Ordered to pay fine and costs amounting to £1,014 and driving record endorsed with 8 points.
Shannia Wilson, 21, of Meadowsweet Lane, Darlington, used a Ford Focus on a road / public place without third party insurance on June 10 in Brinkburn Drive Darlington. Verdict: proved

John Melvin Hunter, 42, of Vaughan Street, Darlington, used a Saab on a road / public place without third party insurance on April 24 on McMullen Road. Verdict: proved. Ordered to pay fine and costs amounting to £1,014 and a driving record endorsed with 7 points.
Thomas Walker, 18, of Hambleton Road, Coundon, Bishop Auckland, used a Vauxhall Corsa on a road / public place without third party insurance on September 30 at Windsor Terrace, Leeholme. Verdict: proved. Ordered to pay fine and costs amounting to £1.014 and driving record endorsed with 6 points.
Ryan McGee, 36, of Burnside Road, Darlington, used a Vauxhall Astra on a road / public place without third party insurance on May 12 in Victoria Road, Darlington. Verdict: proved. Ordered to pay fine and costs of £1,014 and driving record endorsed with 6 points.
Sarah Husband, 30, of Briarwood Avenue, Pelton Fell, Chester-le-Street used a Vauxhall Mokka on a road / public place without third party insurance on July 2 on the A167 Sniperley, Durham.Verdict: proved. Ordered to pay fine and costs of £1,014 and driving record endorsed with 6 points.
