A 'large' cannabis farm was found at a County Durham address after a warrant was executed by police.
It was located at an address on Verdun Terrace in West Cornforth, near Ferryhill, shortly before 8am this morning (December 8).
Officers discovered more than 260 plants across the ground and first floor of the property.
They also found that the electricity meter had been tampered with at the address.
A Durham Police spokesperson said: "A large grow has been located at an address in West Cornforth, near Ferryhill.
"Officers executed the warrant at the address on Verdun Terrace shortly before 8am this morning, December 8.

"A quick go of the big red key led to the discovery of more than 260 plants spanning both the ground and 1st floor of the property .
"The electricity meter had also been tampered with and is being made safe by colleagues from NEDL.
"Officers are currently on scene recovering the plants and enquiries are ongoing today to trace those involved."
