Ten people have been arrested in connection with a street altercation that saw a man injured by an air rifle.
At around 1.55am on Wednesday (December 6), a report was received of an altercation involving males with weapons on Bowesfield Lane/Northcote Street in Stockton.
A 31-year-old man suffered an injury to his head believed to be caused by an air rifle, and he remains in hospital whilst receiving treatment.
His injuries are not believed to be serious.
Ten males were arrested in connection with the incident, and all remain in police custody at this time.
On Wednesday, crime scene investigators were at the scene of Northcote Street and Bowesfield Lane, with an 'item' seen cordoned off.

Police said that enquiries are continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting incident number 239343.
The North East Ambulance service has confirmed that one person was taken to hospital, while the air ambulance also attended the incident.
An NEAS spokesperson said: "We received a call at 1.57am this morning (Wednesday 6 December) to reports of a person injured on Northcote Street in Stockton. We dispatched an ambulance crew and requested support from our colleagues at the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) who attended via road. One patient was taken to hospital for further treatment.”
