A 33-year-old man has been hospitalised after reportedly being assaulted on Rochester Road in Stockton.
His injuries have been confirmed to not be life threatening.
Two men, one aged 36 and the other 14, have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Currently, there is a cordon in place while detectives make enquiries in the area.
Pictures from the scene showed multiple police vehicles responding to the incident.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called to reports of an assault at Rochester Road, Stockton at approximately 1500hrs on 03/12/23.

"A 33-year-old male is in hospital receiving treatment for his injuries which have been confirmed as not life threatening.
"Two males, aged 36 and 14, have been arrested in connection with the incident.
"There is a cordon in the area whilst officers carry out searches at multiple addresses and detectives are carrying out house to house enquiries in the area."
