Police have said that a road will be closed for 'several hours' following a crash that has also seen an ambulance and the fire service at the scene.
The A170 between Thornton-le-Dale and Brompton-by-Sawdon, in the Pickering/Scarborough area, is currently closed due to a serious collision near Snainton.
The collision was reported at around 2.30pm and all three emergency services are at the scene.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and take alternative routes.
The road is expected to remain closed for several hours.
If anyone witnessed anything to do with the incident, they are asked to quote 255 of December 3.
