Wintry conditions have hit the North East for the fifth day running as many across the region woke up to a fresh blanket of snow this morning.
Darlington residents can expect a largely dry and bright day, following on from a cold and frosty start on Sunday (December 3).
The forecaster predicts there will be freezing fog patches which will slowly clear as the day goes on.
It added residents could see a few scattered wintry showers feeding into some coastal districts during the afternoon.
There will be a maximum temperature of 3 °C today, with the region expecting a minimum temperature of -3 °C tonight.
