A total of 42 motorists have been named and fined in court after being caught speeding in County Durham and Darlington.
The cases were heard at Peterlee Magistrates' Court throughout November:
Adam Williams, 35, if Wooley Meadows, Stanley, Crook, County Durham, was driving a BMW 420 in South Terrace, Low Jobs Hill, when he was caught exceeding the 30 miles per hour limit,
He pleaded guilty and was fined £666 and ordered to pay a surcharge of £266 and £90 costs - total of £1,022. Driving record endorsed with 6 points.
Avid Lai Shek, 63, of Dunelm, Thornhill, Sunderland, was driving a Nissan on the A693 Blind Lane when he was caught exceeding the 30 miles per hour limit on March 14.
He was fined 133 and ordered to pay a surcharge of £53 and costs of £110 - a total of £296. Disqualified from driving for 6 months due to repeat offending.
Claudio Quintana, 51, of Park Lane, Darlington, was driving a Mitsubishi Shogun when caught exceeding the 30-mile-per-hour limit on the A1150, Great Burdon, on February 26.
He pleaded guilty. There was no obligatory driving disqualification for special reasons, cited as loss of employment, loss of accommodation and poor health. Magistrates imposed a fine of £215 and a surcharge of £86 and costs of £110 - a total of £411.
Joseph Colin Rowall, 28, of Bridge Street, Tow Law, was driving a Volkswagen Golf on the A689 in Wolsingham, when he was caught speeding and exceeding 30 miles per hour limit on September 9.
He pleaded guilty and was fined £153 and ordered to pay a surcharge of £61 and costs of £110 - a total of £324. Driving record endorsed with 3 points.
David John Sennett, 30, of Tantobie, Stanley, was driving an Audi A4 on they B6173 in Tanfield Lea Road when he was caught exceeding the speed limit of 30 miles per hour on September 11.
He pleaded guilty and was fined £123.surcharge to fund victim services of £49. costs of £100.Driving record endorsed with 3 points.
Michael Elson, 43, of Greenmount, Houghton le Spring, was driving a Nissan Qashqai when he was caught exceeding the 50mph limit on the A690 & A1(M) (Junction 62 Carrville Interchange) on February 19.
The case was found proven and he was fined £220 and ordered to pay a surcharge £88 and costs of £110 - a total of £418. Driving record endorsed with 3 points.
Rosalina Elliott, 47, of Crichton Avenue, Chester le Street, drove a motor vehicle Nissan Micra on the A1(M), when she was caught exceeding 70 miles per hour on March 28.
She pleaded guilty and was fined £172 and ordered to pay a surcharge of £69 and costs of £110. There was no obligatory driving disqualification for "special reasons: Impact on patients"
Bartosz Podstawa, 39, of Barberry Drive, Bridgwater, Somerset, exceeded 70 mph limit in a Kia on a dual A19 southbound April 21. Pleased guilty and fined £100, surcharge £40 costs and costs £90 - total £230 Driving record endorsed with three points.

Andrew Simon Dunn, 43, of Hazel Terrace, Crook. Exceeded 30 mph speed limit on in Toyota at Hargill Road Howden le Wear on April 4. Case proved. Fined £660, surcharge £264, costs £90 - total £1,014 . Driving record endorsed with six points.
Laura Elizabeth Mitchell, 25, of St Marys Road, Sheffield, exceeded 70 mph limit on a dual carriageway - 23rd April 2023 at Barnard Castle namely Peugeot A66 Galley Bank , Plea: Guilty Fined £275 surcharge £110 costs of £90 - total £475. Driving record endorsed with six points.
