One person is in hospital after a crash between a car and a reclined bike in Darlington.
The incident happened at 11am on Tuesday (November 28) morning on Coniscliffe Road in the town.
Police confirmed a Volvo V60 estate had been involved in a crash with a recumbent bicycle.
The road was closed while emergency crews attended the scene and one person was taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital.
A Durham Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to a two-vehicle collision on Coniscliffe Road, Darlington at 11am this morning (November 28).

“It involved a Volvo V60 and a recumbent bicycle.”
The North East Ambulance Service added in a statement: “We received a call at 10.59am this morning (Tuesday 28 November) to reports of a road traffic incident on Coniscliffe Road in Darlington.
“We dispatched one ambulance crew and a clinical team leader to the scene. One patient was transported to the Darlington Memorial Hospital for further treatment.”
