A smattering of snow greeted residents at the highest pub in Britain this morning.
The Tan Hill Inn, which stands at 1,732 feet above sea level at the top of Swaledale in the Yorkshire Dales, often sees the first snows of winter.
With more snow forecast over the next week, particularly on Thursday and Friday, and temperatures in the higher Dales set to hover from freezing down to minus four this could be just the start.
There are no reports of road closures, and it's understood roads are still passable with care.
