Cake lovers and connoisseurs in the North East have enthusiastically shared their favourite places to enjoy a delightful slice.
Among the favourite locations, MJ's Cake Cafe, Quarry Tea House and Whitegates Nursery were popular choices, with social media users raving about these establishment's mouth-watering range of cakes.
Top fan Irene Braithwaite said: "Whitegates Nursery and Cafe serve the very best cakes, the very best food hot and cold."
Fellow fan Lynne Gill was firm about her preference, stating: "MJ's Cake Cafe, 100%."
While Charlotte O'Connor claimed "Whitegates Nursery Ltd Best.

Black Truffle Boutique & Coffee Shop was applauded for its delicious cheesecake,
Lauren Swansbury added: "Agree Black Truffle Boutique & Coffee Shop cakes are amazing.

MJ's Cake Cafe appeared often in the list of beloved spots.
From Rachel Barker who gave a nod to both "Quarry Tea House or MJ's Cake Cafe" to Lorraine Bulloch vouching for "MJ's Cake Cafe for sure,"
clearly a reliable choice among dessert devotees.
Meanwhile, Quarry Tea House also found many admirers with Paula Anne Milner and Victoria Jane both endorsing the spot.
Another endorsement for outdoor settings, Anne Hedley recommended Rendevouz on Whitley Bay Promenade, a choice offering a beachfront view to accompany a cake break.
Elsewhere in the North East, Peggotys in Wolsingham was suggested by Trish Willis, while Ann Brown gave another ringing endorsement to Whitgate Nursery saying: "Whitegates Nursery Ltd the best place for cakes food it's so lovely."
In the Ashington area, Ali Marshall made a case for Kelly's Kakeaway: "They do the best cakes by far."
Poplar Tree Garden Centre & Brambles Coffee Shop also found an admirer in Sharon L Peel Hillam, while others opted for some less traditional spots like Costco, as put forward by Jeff Anderson.
Cupcake Boutique Cake Store also joined the ranks of preferences, suggesting a penchant for speciality cake stores among cake lovers.
