An appeal has been launched after a cyclist was hospitalised following a robbery in a North East town.
Cleveland Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery on Station Road, near to the junction of Cotswold Crescent, in Billingham at 5:20pm on Thursday (November 23) where a cyclist had his bike stolen.
A black vehicle made contact with a 29-year-old male cyclist, before five men wearing balaclavas emerged from the vehicle and attacked him, subsequently stealing his Carerra Vengeance bike.
He suffered facial injuries and possible internal injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "Police are particularly interested in speaking with a woman who shouted at the suspects to stop.
"Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspects or anyone who may have witnessed the incident or the vehicle is asked to contact Stockton CID on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident number 231995.
