A woman was pushed to the floor and threatened by a robber during an early morning incident on Monday (November 20) in Darlington.
The incident occurred at around 8.30am and saw the suspect approached the victim on Staindrop Road and push her to the ground where he attempted to take items from her pocket.
The man was unsuccessful and ran off in the direction of Walworth where he jumped into a red Corsa and drove away.

During the incident, the victim did not receive any injuries.
The male suspect is described as wearing a dark blue tracksuit and black trainers
