Thousands of Christmas lights have taken over Bishop Auckland Castle and the surrounding grounds.
Pictures from AGLOW give a flavour of the magic with a one and a half mile trail filled with surprises.
Visitors can book tickets and head round the route from November 22 to December 31.
Some of the highlights include a 100 metre-long tunnel with more than 100,000 lights, perfect for photos.
Another highlight is the giant redwood tree which is covered with nearly one kilometre of lights.
Edward Perry, CEO of The Auckland Project said: "We are delighted to be staging AGLOW for the first time at Auckland Castle and bringing another exciting attraction to Bishop Auckland and the wider region.
"We look forward to welcoming families from all over the North to what will be an inspirational light trail."
Hames Cundall, organiser of AGLOW, said: "The incredible landscape at Auckland Castle lends itself brilliantly to a light trail of this scale.

"We have been able to encompass so many different features, from projections on the Castle walls to fountains in the river, not to mention illuminating so many of the ancient and wonderful trees in the park, in a variety of ways and the full spectrum of colours.
"The Castle and parkland provide a perfect palette for AGLOW and will give families and friends an unforgettable festive experience."
