Darlington Council are tasking their civic enforcement officers to help local police crackdown on anti-social off-road biking.
Off-road bikes and motorbikes being used to carry out anti-social behaviour can now be seized.
Residents are urged to report any incidents that they see so patrols can focus on hot spot areas.
There will be a particular emphasis on motorbikes as well as off-road bikes.
Dr Amanda Riley, cabinet member for stronger communities, said: "We know dangerous off-road bikes and motorbikes cause real misery for some residents and we are working with police to stop offenders.
"It is so important that people report every incident of anti-social behaviour.
"Even if officers can’t attend straight away it will ensure we know where the main problem areas are and then we can target our efforts where they will have the most impact.
"If you have any dashcam footage or information about where these bikes are being stored or who owns them please report it – you can report anonymously and all information will help."
Inspector Matt Plumb, from Darlington Neighbourhood Police Team, said: "We know the frustration that nuisance bikers and drivers cause to our communities, which is why we are working hard with our partners at Darlington Borough Council to tackle them.
"Through Operation Endurance, we are constantly gathering and monitoring intelligence on these people so that we can take action to disrupt them and bring a stop to their offending.
