North Yorkshire Police is appealing for information following the theft of a charity box from Morrisons on Castlegate in Malton.
The charity box was taken from a table in the supermarket forecourt at around 10.15am on Thursday 19 October.
The collection was for a charity supporting vulnerable children with terminal illnesses and their families.
The suspect is described as around 40 to50 years old, about 5 ft 6 in to 5 ft 7 in tall with dark facial hair dressed in all black with blue trainers.
