Police are appealing for witnesses after a driver was left with life-threatening injuries in a serious car crash.
Two people were taken to hospital following a multi-vehicle crash in the Meadowgate of Eston town yesterday (Wednesday, November 15).
Emergency services converged on the Meadowgate area of Eston following reports of a collision at about 3pm yesterday.
Three appliances from Cleveland Fire Brigade, along with several police vehicles were on the scene, as well as an air ambulance called in to help members of the North East Ambulance Service.
Two people were treated for their injuries at the scene before they were taken by road to the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough by road.
Now, Cleveland Police is appealing for information following a serious two-vehicle crash on Eston High Street at the junction with Birchington Avenue.
The incident involved a white Mercedes and a white Renault van.
The female driver of the Mercedes suffered life-threatening injuries to her head and pelvis, and she was taken to James Cook University Hospital.

The driver of the Renault suffered minor injuries.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or anyone with any relevant dashcam footage to contact Cleveland Police on 101.
