A woman in her 40s has tragically died as emergency services descended on a Darlington street.
Police and paramedics were called to a property on Skeeby Road in the town, shortly after 10.30am on Sunday (November 12) after a woman had died.
Two ambulance crews were called to the scene and police were called shortly after 11am.
An eyewitness said they saw paramedics crying while police knocked on doors in the area.
Forensic teams examined the scene and Durham Police said there were no suspicious circumstances. A file will be prepared for the coroner.

The Durham force said: “Officers attended an address in Skeeby Road, in Darlington shortly before 11am on Sunday following the death of a woman in her 40s. An examination of the scene established there were no suspicious circumstances and a file is now being prepared for the coroner.”
A spokesperson for the North East Ambulance Service added: “We were called to an incident at a private address in Darlington on Sunday, November 12, shortly after 10:30am.
“We dispatched two ambulance crews to the scene.”
