A man was arrested for a public order offence after police were called to reports of an incident involving a cadet selling poppies.
The incident is said to have happened on Stockton High Street on Saturday morning.
Police attended the scene after initial reports that a man had indecently exposed himself to the cadet.
Pictures show several officers restraining a man on the ground after the alleged incident.
Cleveland Police confirmed a 40-year-old man was arrested and later charged with a public order offence.

A force spokesperson added: “On Saturday morning police received a report of an incident on Stockton High Street. A 40-year-old man was arrested and later charged with a public order offence.
“He was bailed to attend Teesside Magistrates’ Court later this month.”
The Royal British Legion said it was unable to comment while police investigations are ongoing.
