A County Durham woman has appeared in court after her Pomeranian dog named Princess attacked and bit two police officers at a caravan park.
Sarah Marie Obrian, 29, of Poplar Terrace, West Cornforth, Ferryhill, was charged with two counts of being a person in charge of dog dangerously out of control, causing injury.
She pleaded guilty to the charges to the charges brought under the Dangerous Dogs Act, when she appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, November 7.
The hearing was told the incident happened at the M6 northbound Tebay Services Caravan park, south of Penrith, Cumbria.

Following her guilty admission, the magistrates handed down a contingent destruction order for Princess, requiring that action be taken to retain orderly conduct from the dog.
Obrian was fined £80 and ordered pay £50 compensation to each of the officers, along with £500 kennel costs.
The court elected not to impose a surcharge due to her financial circumstances.
