A cyclist has been taken to hospital after a crash with a car in a North East town today.
Emergency services were alerted to the collision in Trimdon Avenue, in Acklam, Middlesbrough, at about 3pm this afternoon.
Multiple emergency services converged on the scene, including two ambulance crews with a clinical team leader.
The patient was taken to the James Cook University Hospital for treatment, as police closed the road for investigations to be carried out.
The road remained cordoned off for several hours.

North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Trimdon Avenue in Middlesbrough shortly after 3pm this afternoon (2 November).
"We dispatched two ambulance crews and a clinical team leader, and requested support from Great North Air Ambulance Service.
"One patient was taken to James Cook Hospital by road for further treatment."
