MONDAY’S meeting at Redcar Races has been abandoned due to the course being waterlogged and more rain forecast.
Redcar’s general manager Amy Fair announced this morning: “We are bitterly disappointed that racing is not able to go ahead but we have no option given the recent rainfall with more forecast.”
Redcar has had 13mm of rain between Monday and Thursday, with a further 18mm of unforecast rain on Friday afternoon and evening. A further 15mm of rain is forecast for Saturday night.
Redcar has one more meeting scheduled this season – on November 7.
