Hundreds of homes have been left without power this morning (October 28) in County Durham, the Northern Powergrid has confirmed.
Over 400 homes in and around Cockfield in Bishop Auckland, County Durham, have been left without power since around 3am this morning.
According to the powergrid map, the cut has been caused by an “unexpected problem with the cables or equipment” that serve the area.
Northern Powergrid have confirmed they are aware of the problem and are working to restore power.
The cut is expected to be fixed by 11am.
The provider took to X to confirm the news, as they urged customers to report any further cuts online.
