Work on the new retail park in County Durham has generated a huge amount of interest from national brands who have been confirming their involvement in the project.

The site on Fieldon Bridge Retail Park, in Bishop Auckland, has been building up momentum with large brands committing to units in the park.

So far, there have been gyms, eateries and hardware stores all choosing to get involved.

Early plans show food outlets Domino’s Pizza, Burger King and North East restaurant Mama’s Pizzeria, which has a site near Houghton-le-Spring.

They will appear alongside the large Reel Cinema and Superbowl sites, which will provide bowling and laser quest facilities and were two of the first names to be confirmed on the retail site.

Anytime Fitness gym will also open.

Home and garden retailers Wickes and The Range have also committed to taking over units.
