Marks & Spencer has launched its Christmas recruitment drive in the North East, with more than 450 roles available in stores across the region.

A particular Christmas hotspot in the area is the Metro Centre in Gateshead as it is looking to fill more than 60 vacancies. The retailer is looking for new Customer Assistants to support the store teams as they look to ensure millions of people get their all-important festive essentials and treats on time.

The roles are part of a national recruitment drive targeting 10,000 people and is a good opportunity for those who are looking for flexible work in the lead-up to Christmas. As well as temporary positions, there are a number of permanent roles available too.
