Darlington has got gold in the RHS Britain in Bloom awards.
In a fiercely competitive category, ‘Business Improvement Districts, Town Centres and City Centres’, Darlington was given gold.
The volunteers, residents and business owners who worked so hard to make Darlington bloom have been rewarded.
This year there was tough competition from Harrogate and Romford.

A spokesperson for Darlington Borough Council said: "Did anyone just see the One Show?
"If you did, you’ll already be in the know, if you didn’t, Darlington has been awarded Gold in our category at the annual RHS Britain in Bloom awards.
"Our horticulture, parks, town centre teams; along with volunteers, residents and business owners pulled together once again to present our floral attributes beautifully when the judges visited our town, ensuring we bloomed to victory once again, beating Harrogate BID and Romford BID.
