An investigation has been launched following a spate of car fires in a County Durham town over the weekend.
Police are investigating several vehicle fires which occurred in Shotton Colliery area on Sunday (October 15).
The incidents took place between 10pm and 12pm.

Pictures emerged of the scene showing firefighters attending a car fire on Milton Grove at around 11.30pm.
Nobody was injured in the incidents.
Durham Police said additional patrols are being carried out in the area and enquiries are ongoing.
Anyone with information is asked to call Durham Constabulary on 101, quoting incident number 456 of October 15.
