A man and a woman have been arrested after a man sustained significant injuries to his face after an attack at a property in Hartlepool on Saturday (October 14).
Officers were called to a property on Wynyard Mews at 5.20am, following reports of a disturbance.
The injured man was taken to hospital for surgery, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Officers are currently still at the scene carrying out a number of enquiries.
A man, 46, and a woman, 31, were both arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.

The man remains in custody and the woman has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Police have noted that the incident is not linked to any other incident in Hartlepool.
