An offender reportedly punched off a car’s wing mirror as it drove towards him, before becoming abusive.
The incident happened at about 3pm on September 6 on Church Chare in Whickham, Gateshead.
It is claimed they were walking down the middle of the road as the victim approached in their car.

They then allegedly punched the car’s wing mirror off before becoming abusive.
Northumbria Police are now investigating the incident and have identified a man they would like to trace, who was in the area at the time and believe could assist their enquiries.
The man, or anyone who recognises him is asked to contact police.
A force spokesperson said: “Police investigating a report of criminal damage have released the image of a man who they would like to identify.

“Enquiries are ongoing into the incident, and now as part of their enquiries, officers have identified a man who they would like to trace.
“He was in the area at the time of the offence and could have information that can assist officers.
“The man, or anyone who recognises him, is asked to contact police via the ‘Tell Us Something’ page of our website, call 101 or email 8215@northumbria.police.uk quoting crime number 111821L/23.”
