The cheapest and most expensive areas of the North East for properties have been revealed for house and flat prices across the UK.

Finding a house can often prove difficult with the location to work, schools, price and features of properties all factors to consider when moving property. 

 The most recent data released by HM Land Registry shows whether property prices in your area have risen or dropped over the last month or year, going up to July, alongside which area is the most expensive and cheap within the North East.

For each location in the North East, we have looked at the data of the cheapest place and most expensive and put together a list and example properties that are currently on the market. 

The data shows that County Durham is the cheapest for houses, with an average property price of £128,000, areas like Horden, Easington and Peterlee are shown to be the cheapest locations. 

In contrast, the most expensive location within the North East is North Tyneside, with an average price for a house heading towards £210,000.
