A man has been arrested after a car collided with a pedestrian leaving a pensioner in hospital.
Cleveland Police are appealing for witnesses following a crash involving a black VW Passat vehicle and pedestrian (a woman in her 60s) on Broadwell Road in Middlesbrough at 9:10pm on Tuesday (October 10).
A woman in her 60s suffered broken arms, wrists, and a head injury.

Police have confirmed she is currently receiving treatment at James Cook University Hospital.
Officers arrested the driver of the vehicle, a 27-year-old man, on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and he remains in custody.
Anyone with information/ footage of the collision is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101 quoting 202531.
This comes after pictures emerged of the scene showing police in attendance and a cordon erected around the road.
The incident had closed the road last night, but it has since been reopened.
