A wanted man with links to the North East is believed to have left the country from Newcastle Airport.

James Debbage, 36, is being hunted by organised crime officers who believe he has left the country.

Officers have not said why they want to speak to Debbage, but have released CCTV of his last sighting at Newcastle Airport on June 15.

He is said to speak with a North East accent and has links to Ferryhill, Cornforth and Seaham in County Durham, as well as towns in Essex and Norfolk.

Police have described him as 6ft 2in, of medium build and with brown eyes and hair, although say he has recently changed his appearance having shaved his head and donned a pair of glasses.

The North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (NWROCU), which is leading the search, said he is believed to travel frequently to Holland and Dubai.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact police.

A NWROCU spokesperson said: “We believe he has left the country as he was seen on CCTV in Newcastle Airport on 15 June 2023. He has recently changed his appearance, now with a shaved head and was seen wearing glasses. We believe he frequently travels to Holland and Dubai.

“He has links to Ferryhill, Cornforth & Seaham in Durham, as well as port towns such as Harwich/ Thurrock in Essex and Great Yarmouth/ Norwich in Norfolk.
