A new food venue serving up Mexican cuisine has opened in Darlington to rave reviews from customers who have so far tried the venture.
Fusión Mexicana, which is now based in Darlington Market, opened up on Thursday (October 5), to a string of happy customers and a menu that boasted burritos, fajitas and tacos.
The new venture is headed by owners Katie Miller and partner David Chadwick, who recently opened their House of Flavour restaurant on Duke Street four months ago.

The pair said the ongoing development and "vibe" of the market were among the factors for opting to open at the venue operated by Market Asset Management (MAM).
Mr Chadwick said previously: "The food for Fusion Mexicana is going to be super fresh, traditional.
"Everything is cooked fresh. Everything's fresh to go. It is restaurant-quality, street food.
"It's not full of grease, the idea of fusion is something a lot fresher. It's fresh from local suppliers, we’ll be prepping throughout the day and serving as we go.”
“There's great footfall and we loved how the venue was offering a lot of themed nights, live entertainment and live music. We will get some brand presence simply by being there.
“Just in general for Darlington, having somewhere where money is being spent to allow independent businesses to try and grow and develop is brilliant.
“There's not a lot of places where small start-ups get to do that. They've obviously built a small community down there and we can’t wait to be part of it.”
The menu includes Mexican-style pulled pork, smoky chipotle chicken and mixed bean chill burritos all stuffed with rice, black beans, cheese, lettuce.
Other options include Pico de Gallo topped with guacamole, salsa and sour cream.
And with a menu boasting all of that - you'd expect a host of satisfied and thrilled customers, which Fusión Mexicana has had.
Posting reviews online of the new Mexican restaurant, one person said: "Well worth a try and something different for Darlington," while another added: "The perfect little place for Darlington Market - hopefully it will stay around longer than some have."
