A nine-year-old girl had to be cut out of her own bedroom after the locking mechanism got damaged on the door of the room and her parents were unable to break her free.
The incident happened on Saturday, October 7 at around 12.20am at a property just off Skipton Road in Harrogate.
Firefighters were called to the house in the early hours after a panicked call from the girl's parents, who said their daughter was trapped in her room.

After arriving on the scene, firefighters found the nine-year-old's parents next to the door desperately trying to break it down.
Thankfully, the firefighters who attended were able to use tools to break through the door and rescue the trapped girl from the room.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Fire control received a call from a male stating his nine-year-old daughter had become locked in her bedroom as the door mechanism had failed.
"Despite numerous attempts from him and his mother neither were able to gain entry.
"One of our Harrogate crews attended and using crew power and small tools was able to gain entry to the bedroom and release the girl into the safe hands of the family."
