Shoppers at the Metrocentre will be able to enjoy a spot of mini golf after a new venue opened its doors on Friday (October 6).
Treetop Golf has opened its greens at the Metrocentre offering an ‘immersive’ mini golf experience.
Bosses at the new venue, located in the Upper Qube, next to Buffet King, hope to transport guests to a jungle land with impressive scenery and two 18-hole courses.

The opening comes after a £2.5m investment transforming the unit and brings 20 new jobs to the area.
It will be open seven days a week and hopes to attract families and children, as well as groups of adults with later opening times and a cocktail bar.
Elizabeth Stanway, Treetop’s CEO said: “We're so excited to open the jungle doors today and welcome Metrocentre visitors to our latest immersive mini golf destination.
“We're here for everyone - from family days out to student hangouts, date nights, work get-togethers and celebrations. We can't wait to transport our guests to another place, for them to experience wonder and play and make special memories together.”
The Metrocentre is Treetop's fifth UK location with sites in Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff and Leicester.

There are two courses on offer – ‘Tropical Trail’ which has a jungle theme with a waterfall and magical tree, while ‘Ancient Explorer’ has a temple aesthetic. Players can also have a go at the bonus 19th hole for a chance at another round for free.
Treetop Golf opens at 11am on weekdays and 10am on weekends, and is open until 10pm most nights with a later closing time of 11pm from Thursday to Saturday.

Ben Cox from the Metrocentre, added: “The arrival of Treetop Golf adds another exciting dimension to the offer at Metrocentre, which has further strengthened in recent weeks since the opening of the region’s only Zara.
“We are also getting ready to open the doors on flagship stores for Flannels, Sports Direct and Everlast Gym this November reinforcing our position as the dominant location for shopping and leisure in the North East.”
The venue has moved into the old Angry Birds golf, but was totally stripped out in the multi-million pound refit.
