A man has been stabbed after an altercation with a group of six men late on Thursday (October 5) night.
The assault happened on Cambridge Road in Middlesbrough at about 10.40pm.
The group of six men were involved in an altercation with the 20-year-old victim who was stabbed twice in the back.

He was rushed to James Cook University Hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Cleveland Police launched an investigation and a 28-year-old man has since been arrested in connection with the incident.
He has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Officers are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.
A force spokesperson said: “Any witnesses or anyone who may have dash cam footage or CCTV which may assist police is asked to contact Detective Constable Yasmeen Hussain from Middlesbrough CID on 101, quoting ref 198934.
“Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling 0800 555 111.”
