It comes as drivers saw an 8p per litre surge in the price of diesel last month, new figures show.
The RAC said the average price of fuel at UK forecourts rose from 154.8p at the start of September to 163.1p by the end of the month – this was the fifth largest monthly rise since 2000.
The PetrolPrices app has collated the cost of fuel at a number of forecourts in the town and the prices are updated regularly - the app tells users when each price was last updated.
Petrol prices have risen for the fourth month in a row, jumping by 4.5p a litre on average last month.
