New polling by YouGov predicts that the Conservatives will be facing huge losses at the next general election.
If an election was held tomorrow it is highly likely that the North East battlegrounds which the Conservatives won in 2019 would be lost.
The research, released on September 26, forecasts a 93% chance of a Labour majority government.
The 'Red Wall' fell in 2019 as the Conservatives swept to victory but the latest research shows a swing in the other direction.
Earlier research in September predicted that the Prime Minister would lose his seat.

YouGov has revealed that the national picture is just as bleak for the Conservatives.
A spokesperson said: "Labour's lead over the Conservatives remained steady at 17pc in September, with little change in support for any of the parties.
"That would still translate into a large Labour majority if there were a general election soon.
"The future is never certain. But using our advanced modelling techniques, we can estimate the probability of the various possible outcomes at the next general election.
"Minority government probabilities assume possible alliances between the Conservative and Reform parties, and between Labour, Liberal Democrats, SNP and Plaid Cymru."
Another poll carried out with 11,000 respondents showed that the Prime Minister and 17 cabinet ministers would be losing their seats.
This included:
- Rishi Sunak (Richmond), Prime Minister
- Oliver Dowden (Hertsmere), Deputy Prime Minister
- Ben Wallace (Wyre and Preston North), Defence Secretary
- Michelle Donelan (Chippenham), Science and Innovation
- Therese Coffey (Suffolk Coastal), Environment
- Grant Shapps (Welwyn Hatfield), Energy
- Mark Harper (Forest of Dean), Transport
- Mel Stride (Devon Central), Work and Pensions
- Lucy Frazer (Cambridgeshire South East), Culture
- Alex Chalk (Cheltenham), Justice
- Greg Hands (Chelsea and Fulham), Cabinet Office
- Chris Heaton-Harris (Daventry), Northern Ireland
- Alister Jack (Dumfries and Galloway), Scotland
- David Davies (Monmouth), Wales
- Penny Mordaunt (Portsmouth North), Leader of the House
- Simon Hart (Carmarthen West and Pembrokeshire South), Chief Whip
- John Glen (Salisbury), Chief Secretary
- Victoria Prentis (Banbury), Attorney General
Strangely the research showed that Conservative losses will be worse in the stronger seats.

The spokesperson added: "Across the whole country, the Conservatives are predicted to lose 21% support, as they decline from 45% at the last general election to 24% today.
"But in quite strong seats, they lose 27% which is more than the national average.
"The Conservative losses are worse in their stronger seats, which helps explain why they are predicted to lose so many seats."
