From bargain burgers to tasting menus, the return of Durham Restaurant Week this weekend is set to get tastebuds tingling - and we have a list of all of the participating venues, and the deals they are running.

The initiative, by Durham BID, is aimed at supporting the hospitality industry and local economy and more than 30 venues – from well-known chains to independent businesses – are taking part in the week, which kicks off today (Saturday, September 30) and runs until Friday, October 6.

Foodies are spoilt for choice when it comes to dining out, with everything from tacos and burritos to three-course - ranging from £5 to £25.

Paul Howard, manager of Durham BID said: “This Restaurant Week has been the most successful to date, with an increase in the number of venues taking part as well as thousands of diners already booked up to enjoy discounted deals in restaurants, cafes and bars within the city centre.”
