Police are investigating after a cold caller gained access to a home in Darlington before stealing medication and pressuring the resident into buying items.
Officers from Durham Police have been made aware of an incident on Wednesday (September 27) in the Fryer Crescent area of Darlington.
The incident allegedly saw an unknown male posing as a salesperson selling Lakeland products.

He reportedly gained entry into a property on Fryer Crescent between 5pm and 5.30pm, before the resident gave this male some money in exchange for some clothes.
The unknown male has then taken a box of the resident's medication before leaving in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as approximately 6ft tall, with tanned skin, roughly in his thirties and had a southern accent.
He was wearing a light grey coloured body warmer with an Adidas logo on the chest.

The police are also urging the public to be vigilant and cautious if approached by a sales representative, and ask to see formal Identification or check with the company they are representing.
